Last summer (2025) I became obsessed with all things lemon. Lemon bars, lemon curd, lemonade, lemon meringue, lemon pound cake, lemon ginger candies, lemon gummies and licorice. I bought a lemon drink jar, lemon plates, made some lemon earrings from UV resin and found these Czech glass pressed beads in various fruit shapes, with quite a few lemon beads mixed in. And two of the lemon beads are even UV reactive! I’m not sure if they’re uranium but that was a nice little surprise.
I originally had strung these beads onto some TigerTail wire, but I decided I wanted the beads to dangle and for it to be strung on something more flexible like a nylon thread. This has no pattern; it is just a single strung strand (with a few layers of thread in it) with the dangles hanging off the main strand. I suppose that might be considered coraling technique. Then I took that big yellow bead from my stash and made it the center focal point so it’s kind of a Y necklace.
This necklace actually goes perfectly with the Citrus Fizz Bracelet!
Stitched with size 10/11/15 various seed beads, Czech fire polish 4mm, druk beads 4mm, Czech glass pressed beads in fruit and leaf shapes, various glass and plastic beads, Toho One-G in white.
Finished May 2026
Pattern/Stitches Used: No pattern, single strung strand with coraling technique.
