This necklace was meant to be a remake of my original Leafy Vine Lariat that was stolen. I ended up making it bigger and better this time and I am actually much happier with the remake. I also made a bracelet and 2 different pairs of earrings to go with it!
With the original necklace, I used Czech pressed glass beads in a leaf shape. But this time I wanted to try making a polymer clay leaf cane, so I made 4 leaf canes: 2 colors and 2 sizes for variation. With the clay scraps I was able to roll up some round clay beads that I used for accents.
I did use a similar netting stitch with this in a loose, unstructured, tangled style to mimic a vine. This is not meant to stretch out as a net like my “Lost At Sea” netting. Also, this is not a lariat as before; I made it into a full necklace with clasps.
The matching bracelet is a simple single strand of the aforementioned round clay beads with leaves hanging off it.
I made 2 pairs of earrings to go with this set; however, the first pair ended up being very heavy on my ears! I really like the dangly leaves but I can’t wear them easily. (My lobes were previously stretched to a 00 gauge) I ended up making the pair with the quatrefoil motif and they are much lighter on the ears.

Stitched with size 11 Czech and Miyuki seed beads, handmade polymer clay beads in leaf and round shapes, gold tone donut beads, 2-6 mm rondelles, gold tone leaf charms.
Pattern Used: None! My own devisement.
Finished January 2026
