Montana Blue & Gold Necklace

I saw this pattern in the book “A Beaded Romance” by Kelly Wiese and I really liked it and wanted to make it. I had some blue iris beads but they were not the best brand and inconsistently sized. I love the gray tone of the Montana blue color – it matches my eyes :-)

Sadly, this piece was stolen while I had it on display at a local art show in April 2025. I have enough of most of the beads to re-make it, but not the drop beads. I may even remake it with a different blue like cobalt or blue iris.

Stitched with sz 11/0 Miyuki seed beads in Transparent Montana Blue, sz 11/0 Czech seed beads in Metallic Gold, 4 mm Preciosa bicones in Transparent Montana Blue, 4 mm gold tone bicones (unknown), 3.4 mm Miyuki drop beads in Transparent Montana Blue, Fireline in Smoke.
