“Sun & Sand” Necklace & Bracelet Set

I purchased this stone donut at a local rock & gem show, the seller said it was sunstone and my rock identifier app says calcite or sunstone. I think it looks more like sunstone in my opinion, but I could be wrong 😊 I loved how the color harmonized with the topaz luster bead mix and gold beads.

This set was my introduction to peyote stitch in general, specifically tubular peyote stitch and the peyote warped square. I needed ideas on how to use the donut and, through Pinterest, found out about these warped squares. There’s actually a LOT you can do with these warped squares, and lots of tutorials out there on how to make them.

Calcite or Sunstone donut wrapped in a peyote stitch warped square bail. The warped square is stitched with glass seed beads in gold/amber/topaz tones and the pendant is strung on leather cord with metallic and acrylic beads. Matching bracelet is created with tubular peyote and is capped with gold tone end caps.
